Odyssey Part B - Content Paragraph - Women

In Greek myths the women are portrayed in many different ways. Most of them use their seductive charm, their sexy looks, and their way of words. The only one of them is the nice one, and that's Athena. Athena is more of the motherly role. I think of Athena like virgin Mary. For example Circe used her charm to keep Odysseus with her. Circe is a Greek God. We haven't met all of the Greek Gods, but we have an idea of how the women act. If young girls read stories like them it can teach them to be a lot of things. It can teach them to be tricky, and how to use their looks to get what they want, which is a bad thing. These stories are good to read to entertain you, but then again it can give girls the wrong message.

Odyssey Part A - Content Paragraph - Heroes & Conflict

I don't think overcoming external conflicts alone makes someone heroic. A lot of things contribute to it. Not just one thing. I feel as if, you make a drastic impact in someone life, or you save a life you can be a hero. Police are heros, so are doctors, nurses, lawyers, and firefighters. An external conflict is something that everyone sees, something thats not big for the hero. I think an internal conflict, is a big thing because its something that the hero struggles with and has to deal with , while still being a hero.

Before You Read – Part A – Heroes

A hero is someone that is brave. A her is someone loyal, and someone that you can count on. Like spider man, he's always there when someone is in danger to help. He puts himself in danger to help others. You can always count on him to be there when trouble arises.  External conflict is the conflict that everyone sees outside, it's the conflict that is well known by all of the audience. Primary and secondary sources are important because it gives you two different view points, it gives you a broad thinking way.
